LOCATION: Humberview Group Toronto
REPORTING TO: Dealer General Manager
 
As a result of a new dealership acquisition, The Humberview Group has a current and immediate need for a Dealership Parts Manager . Preference will be given to those candidates with proven general management and dealership experience, and a demonstrated ability to work well and communicate clearly with others in a task-oriented, team environment. Your focus will be on the parts and related operational functions within the dealership. You will also be able to create, articulate and deliver on short and term goals agreed upon with the general manager. Additionally, the Dealership Parts Manager will be responsible to maximize profits through efficient use of staff, space, equipment and inventory control while remaining with established budgetary guidelines
 
As Dealership Parts Manager you will:
 
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, trains and terminates department staff.
  • Determines nature and extent of dealerships' parts and accessories market and conduct ongoing sales call?s and prospecting effort?s to maximize sales results.
  • Prepares monthly parts and accessory internal sales objectives.
  • Determines and assigns team and individual sales goals and prospecting assignments.
  • Prepares promotion and point of sale aids.
  • Approves purchase and stock orders.
  • Monitors and controls forecasting of inventory requirements.
  • Verifies and approves any and all overtime and ensures that it complies with company directives on this matter.
  • Supervises inventory receipts registered to parts invoices daily.
  • Recommends employee promotions and training courses.
  • Conducts employee annual reviews.
  • Monitors reports on obsolescence, inventory trends, zero balance guide, special order parts and weekly sales.
  • Participates and implements customer department policies and procedures.
  • Maintains current accessible storage of parts information bulletins and statements.
  • Prepares department budget.
  • Approves all requisitions for material and expenses not resold on repair order of sales order.
  • Develops and administers parts department policies and procedures for inventory control and pricing.
  • Supervises maintenance of parts department, facilities and equipment.

  • Retail Customers.
  • General Public.
  • General Motors Representatives.
 
Key Qualifications Include:
 
  • Highschool Diploma.
  • Post Secondary Management training helpful.
  • Expert knowledge of GM parts, policies and procedures, competitive activity, accounting, computerized inventory systems.
  • Working exposure to budgeting, cost accounting, forecasting, parts sales training.
