As Helpdesk Technician you will:
 
  • Answer help desk calls and responds to voicemail and email in a timely manner.
  • Promptly assist people as first contact with computer problems. E.g. Log-In Problems, Word Processing, Excel, E-Mail, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Performs diagnostic and troubleshooting of PC issues.
  • Provide training and follow-up assistance to inexperienced users.
  • Regular preventative maintenance of PCs.
  • Hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Participate in the scheduled upgrading and replacement of equipment.
  • Software installation and upgrades.
  • Virus removal and repair.
  • User and computer setup on company domains per location requirements.
  • Provide assistance to IT Staff for execution of long term projects.
  • Complete defined IT scheduled maintenance tasks. (e.g. Tape Backup)
  • Basic networking support for local and wide area networks.
  • Travel between company sites where required for support.
 
Key Qualifications Include:
 
  • High School Diploma.
  • Diploma in computer sciences or related program.
  • 1-2 years' related experience.
  • Computer background with a solid understanding of diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Candidates must have knowledge of Windows 2000, XP, as well as Office XP / 2003.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server 2003 with active directory.
  • Understanding of network structures for LAN and WAN
